Great live show by one of the greatest live bands of the 70s. Off an FM radio broadcast - original tapes or cassette off a tuner? - but sounds good enough and stunningly clear for the most part. Almost 80 minutes of music including some songs rarely appearing on their live output - Long Distance Love, Day or Night, Romance Dance etc. At the top of their game and sound like they're having fun too.

Great versions of some fab old favourites, amazingly hot atmosphere, good singing from the newbies, and some stirring guitar breaks.

This is a great live recording of Little Feat (with the late great Lowell George) in their prime. Play it loud!!

I love this band.
In the mid 70's, Little Feat were one of the most inventive and under rated of all of the Californian based bands.
I guess they were over looked in the mass popularity stakes in favour of The Eagles. They never quite managed to write a song with the universal appeal of "Hotel California", but in terms of general musicianship and song writing, Little Feat were light years ahead of their more popular cousins.
(I am also a fan of The Eagles, their early material is particularly great, but Little Feat were better).

The best Feat live album is Electrif Lycanthrope, an official bootleg album that Lowell George himself mixed. It is quite superb, you used to be able to get it from [...] as a free download, but I haven't checked recently if it is still up there. Hellzapoppin is not quite as good as Lycanthrope, but its excellent nevertheless.

If you want one CD that sums up this band, this one would be a good one to get.

Always a joy to find some 'new' Lowell George period Little Feat, and so far they seem on great form, sadly the sound quality is "low-fi mono" which does detract somewhat from the experience.
