Product Description

Product Description

HH's best selling baselayer, the HH Warm Freeze 1/2 Zip. Great insulation and moisture management in Helly Hansen's very own HH Warm fibre technology.

Product Description

Helly Hansen Warm Freeze Long Sleeve Half Zip Baselayer features the HH Warm system. HH Warm is a two-layer system. The inner Lifa fibres ensure you stay dry in all conditions. Lifa Stay Dry technology draws sweat away from the body, so that it evaporates into the air from the fabric surface to provide maximum comfort whilst you exercise. The outer layer, which is constructed with Merino wool, adds warmth and comfort. The two layers work together to create a garment that provides extreme insulation and superior moisture-wicking qualities.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top in tops 4 Nov 2011
Colour Name:Black/Tabasco| Size Name:Medium|Verified Purchase
I will be getting at least another one of these as I don`t want to ever take it off because it is so good. It has kept me as warm as three t-shirts would, but this is far more comfortable, breathable and non sweaty. 10/10

I choose this item for warmth and style. It's so comfortable to wear and washes well. There is nothing I dislike about the top and I have already recommended it to my family and friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable & Warm 30 Jan 2012
By Lee
Colour Name:Black|Size Name:Large
The Helly Hansen 'Lifa Warm' top, is a well made garment to be expected from the Helly Hansen range. You certainly notice the difference from the HH 'Lifa Dry' when it comes to warmth, this makes the perfect cold weather base layer. No sweating due its breathability, and no prolems with washing as long as you dont wash over 40c - it is wool after all! As for size, get a size larger than you would for the 'Life Dry' range, I use a Medium in 'Lifa Dry', and found this top in Large to be the same snug feel that i am comortable with - only exception is that this will not stretch as much, not a problems for me, but if youre larger then you may need a 2 size difference.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quality Product 7 Jan 2012

As my Occupation involves a significant amount of outdoor work I found this a great piece of clothing, like most Base Layers it is quite a tight fit so be careful on the sizing & attempt a fitting first in order to get it right, Overal very impressed with HH Warm Freeze & recommend to others.

3.0 out of 5 stars Helly Hansen Lifa Warm 29 April 2011
Colour Name:Black|Size Name:Large
Very warm and the high neck is a big bonus. The only downside is the big seams holding the arms on which go directly under the armpit and a little uncomfortable

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Baselayer 20 Mar 2014
By dencs
Colour Name:Black| Size Name:Large|Verified Purchase
I got this HH as a lightweight, warm, baselayer for the open spaces where I do a lot of winter walking. Although here in UK we have not had a very cold winter, the wind on some days is giving well below -0c in open spaces, especially on high ground.

I bought one size larger than I normaly wear based on some feedback comments and this fitted me very well. The warm freeze is an excellent warm & comfortable baselayer next to the skin, its very lightweight & non bulky below a windproof down jacket & even on the coldest windiest days it has kept me completly warm & very comfortable. Best cold weather baselayer I have ever bought.

My son loves this when he is out canoeing in all weathers. He wears many layers as he feels the cold. Doesn't get heavy if he falls in either!

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok
Not as fitted as I was expecting for a medium. Good for hiking and mountain biking but not the best for road cycling where you need something a little more fitted.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for cold days
This product was not as warm as I had hoped for but is good enough for slightly chilly days. It is fairly good for warmish days wicking away the sweat though.
