The backstory: Vampires exist. It is the duty of Hellsing, an organization sponsored by the British government, to protect the populace. Along with its personal army, Hellsing has a secret weapon in Alucard, a powerful vampire controlled by Hellsing. It is unknown whether Alucard's servitude is voluntary or involuntary, but he seems to enjoy his job. Seras Victoria is a former police woman, made vampire by Alucard during a mission. Seras becomes a member of the Hellsing Organization. Integra Hellsing, the current leader, is usually fully capable of fulfilling her duty, but lately, vampire activity has been on the rise.
Unfortunately, the cause is more alarming than anything she could have imagined. A group long thought dead since World War II has been plotting in secret since their apparent destruction over 50 years ago. Plotting to plunge England into war just for a chance to pay back Alucard and Hellsing for their defeat 55 years ago.
