Damn, there are so many begging singles on Phantom Power, I have to admit I was slightly disappointed by the decision for Hello Sunshine. If I had anything to do with it, I would have chosen "The Undefeated", which is basically a better "Northern Lites", the best single off "Guerrilla".
Ah well. No sense in arguing with a beautiful song like this. Cheerful piano and lilting guitar, coupled with lines like "in honesty it's been a while/since we had reason left to smile" tell you everything about Super Furry Animals you need to know- a determination to look on the bright side of things won't stop them feeding the public subversive messages. Psychedelia at it's best.
