28 shiny high quality pages, in the popular 2-page spread format, with bold, easy-to-read print.
This simple story involves a bear, a tree plus various other creatures(please see above image) and centres around the hello/goodbye theme.
The story is further enhanced by repetition of the two words which the younger reader will be eager to spot for themselves, and repeat....with some gusto, I imagine, in due course!
Example of text:-
`A tree stood quietly in the sunshine.
A big, brown bear stepped up.
"Hello!" he said, very loudly.
Two bees flew over.
"Hello! Hello!" they said, very busily.
Along came a big red bird.
What did the bird say?
"Hello!" very quickly.
Soon voices all over the tree were saying, "Hello!"......'
Along comes the rain and everyone says "Goodbye", in similar fashion!

A tree, a lot of animals and insects and some rain to wash it all down! Beautifully built up with a lot of Hello greetings by all the animals followed by some Goodbyes when the rain starts and ending with one last surprise Hello! Perfect for young children : great illustrations, repitition and an ending that makes you feel warm inside. Goodbye!!

Very simple story which didn't impress me at all at first, but is loved by my two year old - "It's my favourite at the moment" she says, requesting it yet again. The bear is just perfect, she loves to spot the creatures, and she joins in with the different voices. Sweet and lovely story.
