Format:Audio CD
Kirk's at it again, what I love about this album is that you'll find something that will appeal to everyone. From the funky beats for the young and young at heart, such as "Before I die", and "I am", the reflective tune like "Hello Fear" (that is my new anthem, and a daily declaration) to the tune "I Smile" that has every generation in our family singing along.
If I was to rate this in order of my favourite Kirk Albums, it would probably be 4th after Hero, Rebirth, and Fight of my life, but remember this is based on my personal tastes.
What's even more important is that the words minister to you, every word is clear and it's obvious that as much thought and prayer has gone into the lyrics as in the music. This album will grow on me, much as I love it, it is a more reflective album which I feel is right where it needs to be.
This album is definitely medicine for my soul and has blessed me already. I gave it 4 stars as there's only one track which didn't work for me and that's just a personal thing as I'm not into the traditional, southern Gospel genre.
If I was to rate this in order of my favourite Kirk Albums, it would probably be 4th after Hero, Rebirth, and Fight of my life, but remember this is based on my personal tastes.

Format:Audio CD
Have listened to this album 2-3 times now, after recieving couple weeks ago, it is quite the tipical K.Franklin style with a modern tweak, I leave all the tracks to play without having to skip ones not to my liking, which is good to hear as some gospel artist tend to lose the plot halfway through the album when they try to keep up to date.

I am a huge Kirk Franklin fan. I think he writes the most fantastic songs. I have three of his other albums, including Hero The Fight of My Life Songs for the Storm Vol.1
I waited for my birthday with eager expectations as this was a present I had requested.
Sadly, I was quite disappointed and I haven't listened to this album nearly as much as the other three.
This is not to say that the songs aren't good. Most of them are of a reasonable standard. But not the standard that I have come to know from Kirk Franklin.
I felt that it was a lot 'noisier' album than his previous outings i.e. he has definitely taken on a lot more 'gospel' influence whereas his previous albums didn't have quite so much.
Having said that, there are some powerful songs like 'Nothing But the Blood' and 'Something about the name of Jesus' which are amazingly reflective and worshipful.
'I Smile' is definitely the most catchy song on the album and definitely worth buying.
My suggestion is listen to the previews and then download the mp3's of the songs that really take your fancy. If more than 7 of them do, then you know it's worth buying the whole album :)
