Hello Angel which was first released in 1988 is a must have for any one who likes Sandie's music. This re-mastered version by EMI contains additional tracks to the original including 'Jeane' which Sandie recorded when working with The Smiths - an awesome vocal performance with Johnny Marr on guitar, fabulous! Other favourite tracks for me are 'Cool About You' written by Jesus and The Mary Chain, beautiful song and again great vocals by Sandie, the title track 'Hello Angel' is also outstanding -angelic perhaps and in fact every track is a gem. I think this is the album Sandie Shaw always wanted to make (according to what she has written and said about it) and the result is just beautiful.

I recently purchased this remastered CD edition of Sandie's creative masterpiece and it has really stood the test of time.

If your sole knowledge of Sandie is her 60's catalogue of pop gems and her ill conceived foray into Eurovision (why oh why??!) then you may not be prepared for the cutting edge quality of this disc.

Working with Marr and Morrissey really brought ot the best in Sandie. High points are difficult to choose... but for me 'I don't owe you anything' really hits the spot. As does 'Nothing Less than Brilliant' Why she hasn't done anything since this release is beyond me, I guess the pop landscape is littered with glories past... but even if she never records another note this record will remain an undisputed classic and is definitely worth addidng to ANY music lovers collection.

Although this album took almost four years to produce, it has a uniformity to it that helps to make it a very enjoyable listen. This 2013 re-packaging has added numerous bonus tracks including her work with The Smiths. Sandie's voice stands up well and the quality of the songs shine through. In addition, the accompanying booklet is informative as it takes you through the time-line as the album developed. Sound quality is also good. This is the one Sandie album l didn't already have and l am very pleased it now sits in my collection.

I was a fan of Sandie Shaw back in the sixties and her voice now is even better. A great album. Still one very sexy lady.

I bought the original vinyl album when it was first released and loved it then, it was a new style Sandie who had really moved with the times and each song is simply brilliant- just as the title suggests.

It's great to have Sandie's back catalogue out again on cd
