Book Description

1 April 1996
Devon March is a fourteen-year-old boy with strange, unexplained powers. And - since the time he was just six years old - he has had to fight off periodic attacks from the hideous demons that live deep down inside his closet. He has never understood why he has these powers, or why his closet is a gateway into Hell. When his father dies, Devon is sent to live at a mansion called Ravenscliff, perched atop Devil's Rock on the craggy coast of New England. Here, Devon suspects he will find the truth of his past. Indeed, Devon discovers he is a Sorcerer of the Order of the Nightwing and that his heritage is proud and noble. But he learns something else, too: there exists at Ravensliff a Hellhole, and the demons are scratching to get out...

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Book 28 April 2003
By Robert
I read the american version Sorcerers of the Nightwing but the UK version is going to be just as awesome. I plan on picking it up.
HellHole is a captivating read, with mystery and suspense that will keep you on your toes.
“The music comes from a TV set, turned to face an empty beanbag chair. It sounds like some kids show, tiny voices and the repetitive crash of the laugh track.
‘Alexander?’ Devon repeats. ‘You in here?’
Suddenly he feels something lunge at him, grab him around his shoulders. It’s back, he thinks quickly. I was unprepared. The thing.
Instinctively he summons all his power to thrust whatever’s on his back clear across the room and into the far wall. It thuds hard and slides down to the floor…”
Geoffrey Huntington gives us the story of Devon March. An average ordinary 14 year old, other than the fact that he can move objects with his mind and summon incredible strength. Devon March is special, continuing the three thousand year old tradition of mysticism and magic. Devon, after his father’s death finds himself in the dank and dark halls of the mansion Ravenscliff, where secrets come looking for Devon.
Mystery shrouds Ravenscliff when Devon meets his new family, the Muirs. The Muirs forbid Devon from discovering anything more about his past, terrified of what the knowledge might bring. Closing off the East Wing where voices beckon him toward the bolted door. Clawing and scraping can be heard, the demon’s want out.
Suspense builds in this masterful novel when Devon meets Alexander, the strange and precocious child. Is he but a mislead youngster or a link to the Madman?

5.0 out of 5 stars Thrilling and Engrossing!! 6 July 2006
'Hellhole' is excellent value for money. If you want a thrilling book with a taste of the supernatural, that can be read in a day, then this and it's sequel 'Demon Witch' are what you need.

Think Anthony Horrowitz's Alex Rider series of books with sorcery and demons added; you would not want to put it down until you have finished!

I really cannot wait until Huntington brings out the next one!

3.0 out of 5 stars News on Book 3 for Ravenscliff 18 Jan 2006
By Natalie M. Pietro - Published on
I wrote Geoffrey Huntington late last year in wondering when book three would be released. I do love his books and can't wait to see whats will happen in the next book. Below is his reponse...

Thanks for writing. Blood Moon is scheduled to be released in France and Holland this year, but we don't have an English-language release date yet. We may be publishing on the Internet first so fans, who have been waiting a long time, can get a sneak peek. Keep checking the websites for updates. Thanks again!

Hopefully this helps you get an idea of when the book should be around. So I think this book isen't book three and we are still waiting for it to be released. Anyone else who has any news on book three please let us know.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the third book... probably 26 Dec 2005

I found Mr. Huntington's site, where it mentions book 3, titled Blood Moon, is "coming soon." My guess would be that Hellhole is the English title of one of the first two books but I can't be sure without buying it.
3.0 out of 5 stars Book Three "Blood Moon" 3 Mar 2006

I don't think that this is book three because the title "Hellhole" seems more to me like book one when he enters the Hellhole, than book three which has to do with werewolves.
