Fun:
This game is a game from the last generation. It's linear, has graphics and animation you could only call "functional", and the gameplay is based purely on entering the next area and killing each of the creatures it holds.
But, like Hellboy himself, this game is dumb fun. It's not demanding, hard to play or miles off the source material.
If you like Hellboy, you'll probably enjoy the experiance.

Fun:
The only reason im giveing this game such a high review is becuase i'm a huge Hellboy fan. The game it's self is very tedius and the fact you can only use the other various characters in multiplayer more than cheesed me off.
The game retains all the humour and wit from the comics but there just simply isn't enough of it. a typical level in this game is "walk forward, kill a horde, some small dialog, punch through a wall, backtrack to find somthing, some smaller dialog, kill more hordes, kill boss" and they manage to drag it on for quite a while.
A major down point to the game which will put alot of people off is that the full 1000GS is unobtainable due to the devolpers not realseing the last level DLC as promised, the fact they released a unfinished game is completly beyond me.
I am somewhat kicking myself for giveing this game such a high review but it's the only game exsperiance you are going to get of Hellboy. Well not unless you include the monstrosity that was Hellboy for the Playstation 1 but i just like to forget that ever exsisted.
So to sum it up.
4 Stars if your a Hellboy junkie and need a fix between comics.
2 Stars if your just your avarage gamer with no prior knowlage of Hellboy.

I bought this game for my son as he is a hellboy fan, i thought i had bought a preowned one for the price but was pleasantly surprised when it was delivered and was brand new! A great buy and my son loves it :)
