Beautiful cover, gigantic book, it feels like holding a grimoire!
The watercolour on the front page is wonderful. I especially love for the library editions all the bonuses, as they deliver a very good insight about a comic book's creation. You can see very nicely every process with all the sketches and notes.
It is very humbling and motivating at the same time for someone who wants to draw!
Hellboy has not left me for 12 years, I just wish I had discovered it earlier.
I especially love Hellboy, as he is a wonderful anti-Hero, he has flaws, like all the characters do in these comics. The drawing itself is incredible, and I love to see Mignola's evolution as the story progresses over the year (behold, so far there are six big library volumes).
There is a grace and poetry to these drawings and stories. Eerie and elegant like classical horror stories.
