5.0 out of 5 stars mindblowing, 18 May 2006
This book is completely amazing. It's funny and quite scary, but also really clever. It's about a boy who goes to hell and then has to find a way to escape, but the jokes and ideas are really what it's about. And it's very very dirty. I read another book by him which was good too, but this is in a different league.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real gem of a book..., 5 Dec 2007
By Peter Courtley (London, England) - See all my reviews
Very humorous, philosophical... a wacky and wonderful journey through incredulity, fear, guilt, sympathy and understanding etc. A bench-mark for this genre I'd say and great value - I bought it for one of my sons, he loved it, so did his twin brother and so did I. We have now all read Henry Tumour as well which is also great - maybe even better than this I think. Looking forward to his next book...

5.0 out of 5 stars Phenomenal, 12 Nov 2007

Absolutely fantastic! Nothing else can sum up this awesome book! It's funny and oh so different, yet it really makes the reader question their own mortality and what awaits us all. If a Hollywood director is watching - this should be a film!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth a read
This is a stroke of genius. I grudgingly say this.
