I'm delighted you've chosen to look in and connect with me and my work.
People often ask me - "What genre do you write."
I find it hard to come up with a proper answer, because, being a rather ditzy senior, I write whatever comes into my head - and that could be anything! I like to see a wild idea, a great character, a gripping plot, or a sinister scene develop into a story. I need a challenge!
Consequently I've written children's adventure, women's fiction, romantic drama, urban paranormal, mystery, humorous chick-lit, cozy humor, historical drama, linked short stories, novellas, and of course my travel memoirs.
I love writing. I've always written - during my life I've had a go at writing anything and everything. At age six I composed poetry, and later submitted for the school magazine. I once wrote a pantomime for a dance company. I contributed a terrible sketch for a revue, devised a stage adaptation of the lives of Gilbert & Sullivan through their music, and edited a musical society newsletter. I wrote a column in an antique magazine about funny things that happened on the way to the antique fair, and another about the antique markets of London. I reviewed art exhibitions and edited a motor magazine. Stuff like that. Having been an actor/singer, theater director, art gallery proprietor, wife and mother, antique dealer, gift retailer, dedicated traveler, and now a full time writer, I draw on life experiences in all my writings.
But I've only become purposeful about my writing recently. I'm now writing travel articles and memoirs, plus fiction novels - a serious challenge but one from which I'm deriving a great deal of pleasure. Learning "the trade" is an amazing journey, during which I've met some wonderful fellow travelers. I'm a bit of a doer and a goer and I take my notebook with me, so I write about what I see and smell and taste and experience. I'm not a great talker, but I'm a great observer.
I often wonder if, in a past life, I lived on a Greek island. I've traveled for many years throughout Greece, spending much of the time in villages observing traditions, and enjoying the day-to-day life of the people. I think I've been looking for my special place, but in the meantime I've gathered experiences, images, diversions, and friends. Some of my pieces include - "Paros", in Lonely Planet's collection of travel stories, "Rite of Passage: Tales of Backpacking 'Round Europe", P168, (Lonely Planet Publications); and another piece, "Tiryns", published in Travel Post Monthly, and Strictly Europe. The acceptance of "Ancient Charms for the Young-at-Heart" in the Escape section of the News Limited newspapers (Australia, 2011), led to an expansion of my knowledge about Greece into several of my eBooks:

Lately, I've turned to writing mostly novels and short stories. Happily, my humor is revealed in most of my work, as is the depth of my knowledge of real characterization. A member of the Romance Writers of Australia, I've had short stories published in the US, and in "Little Gems", (Amethyst and Topaz), for RWA.
Here's my other fiction e-Books - it's a fast growing list!
