Brilliant. Buy now! This is an awesome album by a very talented young scottish singer songwriter. The honesty and raw emotion can e heard in every song.

The songs are excellent and the man can sing. I heard him last week at Celtic Connections. The man is wonderful live. The quality of his songs shines thought and his voice is stunning. I hadn't heard of Adam before but bought his album on line on returning from his performance. I was really impressed. Vocally, he was outstanding.

I am so disappointed in the production of his album. Sibilant "sssss" !!! Tracks 4 and 6 reminded me of the joke character on a Scottish comedy prog., the name of which escapes me at present. So many tracks are ruined by poor, murky production. I have a very good system which sounds fantastic when playing well produced music. I've just played Blake Mills, "Heigh Ho" and the clarity of the music and the quality of the production play a big part in the enjoyment of his music. I feel that Adam's vocals and songwriting are on a par, albeit in different musical spheres.

I sincerely hope that he gets someone on board next time who can produce his music as well as he can sing it.

Heard one song on radio 2 and listened to the album on Spotify, I was purchasing by track 3. Less folky than expected but richly augmented with country tinges and gentle harmonies. This is a just beautiful album of delicate, perfect, low key melodic songs with lyrics both romantically heartfelt and desperately heartbreaking. Yet the experience, whilst melancholic, is strangely uplifting and it is on constant repeat and shows no sign of becoming samey. If anything the experience is getting richer as a catch new lyrics as the songs become part of my fabric. I have already purchased a second copy for a friend, so sure am I that they'll love it. Adam possesses a richly 'old' voice that from a young man manages not to sound contrived and is warm and he knows how use it making things sound effortless. I can't wait to see him live, but worryingly we are at opposite ends of the country. I cannot recommend this album enough.

As a fan of RURA I was excited to find that Adam had his own album too! Downloaded it instantly and was not disappointed! Adam has a fantastic voice and the album is filled with the lovely arranged tracks that I am really enjoying! My housemates are also not complaining about me playing it... which is usually the sign of a good album :P

I first hear Adam in session on BBC Radio Three. I was so impressed i ordered the Cd. It came very quickly. I find That I cant understand James singing On most of the tracks. Its such a shame because The songs are great and waiting to be heard. Its not his singing as he was superb on radio its the recording Dept.

Quite 'dark' lyrics but so hypnotic - he has a 'melancholy' feel, but there are some quite 'joyous' tunes with lovely melodies.
