The Heir to Longbourn is a tongue-in-cheek sequel to Pride & Prejudice / Mansfield Park / Northanger Abbey in which the author at breakneck speed marries off various siblings and other unmarrieds to one another, and at the same time finds a way to stop Mr Collins from inheriting Longbourn...The author must've had lots of fun - who should Georgiana Darcy marry etc?
Lots of in jokes for those who know their Austen, and a very good read. Personally I'm a huge Austen fan, so I loved it.

A delightful pot-pourri of characters and situations forming a joint sequel to four Jane Austen novels, attractively presented and very easy reading. A treat for those who know their Austen - and for those who don't - and an ideal book to take on holiday.

A very readable and enjoyable book in the style of a Jane Austen comedy of manners. It was refreshing not to have bedroom scenes and the wit -invariably absent from other continuations and spin-offs- was delicious. I intend to read the other two books in the trilogy
