A very clearly written and delightful story with beautiful illustrations. Ideal to introduce children to Heidi. The plot is simple and accurate.The story is in easy to understand language and builds the Childs self-assurance in there ability to succeed and progress. Perfect for children who are ready for chapter books in terms of content but who like plenty of illustrations to look at in a book as well as words. These are a great series of stories and excellent quality books.

I loved this book as a child and bought this one for my niece. There are many versions but in this one Heidi looks like my idea of Heidi (blonde hair etc) and the story is easy to read with a child. I loved it all over again and my niece does too.
