This version of Heidi is well dramatised, my children love listening to it. It sticks very closely to the original story except for silly thinks that renaming Uncle Alp's goats! not that it has much impact on the story but I can't see why you would need to change things like this. At 1.5 hrs long it is fantastic for longish car journeys. Kept my two (boys) quiet for the whole thing.

Our children (7 & 12) loved listening to this in the car on our recent holiday to Switzerland.
I guess the scenery added to the experience, but the story is well told with great casting, was easy to follow and altogether a very satisfactory purchase.

I bought this dvd for my 7 years old daughter's last Christmas. It's beautiful... there are sounds and more than one voice... it's doesn't sound monotone at all and instigates the imagination to travel with Heidi on the mountains. Would recommend to any age...
