Got these for my son'e 7th birthday and after taking a week or so to learn to use them, he absolutely loves these shoes. He is exctited about going to the grocery store, hardware store, etc. so that he can "ride around." As for durability, after 4 months of major use, these shoes have held up far beyond my expectations. One of my son's favorite "toys" ever.
