Give yourself an hour at least to build it. Would recommend two people work together on it - especially to allow one person to pull on one side of the trampoline rope taut whilst the other threads it. I would have done it in half the time if my wife hadn't gone off to the park as soon as it arrived (she'd also read these reviews and made a quick exit).
Let's be honest .. if you're gonna have your kid abusing something non-stop all day, you're gonna want it to be safe and strong and that usually means it'll take some time to put together. If the end result is something as sturdy as this thing - a sore hand is small price to pay.
Anyone who complains about getting blisters from making this probably owns a dishwasher and will be lucky enough to have extremely soft and beautiful hands - for the rest of us it's about as painful as opening a jar of pickled cabbage.
You have to self assemble the product, which I was a bit unsure of at first, but actually it is really easy and I was able to do it myself (I am a 32 year old female without muscles) - it is easier with 2 people, but not impossible with one. I thought the lacing up of the rope which connects the frame and the mat would be a lot trickier than it actually was- it took a bit of brainpower and a few times of undoing/redoing to get it, but all in all it took me about an hour to put together. Once finished, it is very sturdy, and I have even had a shot on it and it takes my weight (wouldn't recommend it regularly though!). My niece's friend has been on it at the same time and it was no problem and room enough for both of them. The handle at the front makes it good for balance, and she almost jumps as high as this now! I was concerned it could tip over, but it has a great sense of balance and I haven't been concerned about this at all, even when she bounces really high (although you could stand it next to a wall/hard edge if you were really worried). My other concern was the gaps between the frame and the mat, but this hasn't been an issue either- the handle means that the child always stay in the centre of the mat when bouncing rather than getting too close to the edge.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with an energetic child!

Assembly of the trampoline is a bit of a challenge, but not too bad. I'd say it took me around 30-40 minutes to put together - although getting the supporting handle on was a bit tricky to work out (that could've just been me though!) and threading the mat on was also a bit of a pain (you really need two people to thread the mat on with ease).
Once the trampoline is made up it's easy to move about and store away should the weather turn on you. Storage wise, we've just been propping it up against the wall in the shed, and in doing this it doesn't take up a horrendous amount of space (although our shed is quite large, so this may be a factor to consider before purchasing it). You can also use the trampoline indoors - although after putting it up it does seem to be more of an outdoor thing!
Since we've had the trampoline, our kids have had quite a lot of fun bouncing about on it (we have 3 year old twins) and looks to be made from good quality and sturdy materials, with a solid design that should last for a good number of years of use. The materials used also appear to all be reasonably weatherproof - however I'm not entirely sure it would survive that well if left out in the pouring rain day after day (although it might be okay????).Read more ›
