6 of 6 people found the following review helpful By Tremayne Carew Pole on 10 Nov. 2008
Format: Imitation Leather
What's great about this little book is the number of really small neighbourhood restaurants that have been included. It's not just about the big names that feature in every other guide, but really delicious, quirky holes in the wall that are much more fun to discover. I love the fact that this is put together through the recommendations of famous chefs, although I would like to have seen exactly where each one had chosen.

I agree with Tremayne, it is good for suggesting the smaller good finds and not just the expensive big names. I like that they've included the small local places and the fact you can look under cheap, expensive, worth making the distance for etc is great. I used it on Friday and found something you can't always do using the web. It was a bit out of date as the restaurant had changed its name but the telephone number was the same. Just double check it online too.

I just found out they have a New York version so I might buy that for my trip on May. It's the kind of insider info that is so often hard to find.

Only improvement would be to categorise it by area too.
