Okay I am reviewing the heavy grips 200lb model, this came in a neat little package complete with a warranty and a couple net links to help with training.
The gripper itself is well made it has that perfect quality that comes with good strength equipment that of being solid heavy, metal and in solid condition.
I find that though this seems like a cosmetic thing generally the more plastic or aluminium on a fitness product the less useful or more likely to break it is.

Now with the gripping, I bought this going in with the information that these are serious and should be treated with respect I repeat that here, but what I will say is that you could use what I am going to say as a handier guide than just what you lift in the gym.
I closed this gripper for 4 sets of 15 reps, I'm not making that up now I am a large man (6'3 and 300lbs)also in my favour I have very big hands and I both train in the weights room and do heavy labour most days.
HOWEVER: I did not assume I was strong enough to do any of them and you should not either these things are legitimately tough.
I decided to get the 300lb modle after this as I felt that I should upgrade but I want to point out that if you are used to manual labour such as farming or work with hammers then you will have a much easier time closing the grips, basically its to do with your hand strength being normally higher because of the movement you have this is pointed out online but I felt it would b handy to state here people who work all the time with their hands are going to have stronger hands even over people who have much greater muscle development.

I used to own a standard hand gripper, could easily do 40 repetitions.
I wanted something stronger than the usual stuff you can get at Argos or Tesco's.
After reading a few reviews, i decided to go for the 250lb one, although I was tempted to get the strongest one, the 350lb.
After a few days of using it, my impressions are as follows:
- stronger than i anticipated (i am 6ft tall, 190lbs and used to train for a few years), can't completely close it, which motivates me to exercise more
- as others have written before, it's a bit rough on the palms, but after a few days you get over it and it's not an issue anymore
- very good build quality, looks awesome
Overall, very happy with it, well worth the money.

Great Gripper! I've previously used a well used Captains Of Crush No.1 hand gripper and was only millimetres from closing it so was searching for a beginner gripper to work my way up to a No.1 at a lower price than Captains of Crush but with out a loss in quality or poundage and my wife found me this gripper and it's definitely on a par with the Captains of Crush, if I had the money I'd go for a Captains of Crush but this gripper is definitely up to standard when used alongside a Captains of Crush! Highly recommended.

I bought the 250lb (113kg) gripper in order to retain some of my grip strength while I'm unable to train in the climbing gym for a month. I have a big trip coming up and need to be strong.

I had my grip tested and it's around 80KG so I was a little worried I would have problems with one that's rated to 113kg, however it seems I can almost close it, which is a relief. It certainly works my forearms into a state not unlike having climbed something long so I'm sure it'll be a great training aid.

Build quality is excellent with knurled aluminium handles (can be rather harsh on your hands but then so can rock!)and a spring that certainly doesn't squeak yet as others have said.

For just over a tenner these things are a bargain, I may well get another.

Love these Heavy Grip grippers! Knurled ali & extra tension give them a "serious" feel that you don't get with the typical fitness grips. But which strength grips to get? I'd seen a 150lb one cheap on Amazon Warehouse & was worried it might be too strong: I am 10st wet through & have small puny hands, hence the need to improve.... but reviews seemed to suggest the 100lber wasn't much stronger than standard grippers so I took a chance.... My first impression is that it wasn't as hard to close as I thought.... I got within ½ inch (after a few sessions I have all but closed it). The good thing from my perspective is the the span of the gripper isn't beyond my small hands getting a good hold. .....So I thought I needed a bigger challenge to work up to & bought the 200lber. After a few workouts I can get to within ½ - ¾ inch..... So I bought the 250lber! I'm about 1 ½ inches short on this one but had a good work out yesterday working up the three strengths. I'll be well pleased if I EVER close the 250 comfortably so don't expect to graduate to the 300. In my opinion the grippers are misleadingly named: the 250 is well beyond ME but to call it "professional level" is a bit much. To sum up: I think getting two or three grippers is a good idea - working your hands over a range of motion while still having a couple of goals to aim for. You can save a few £ by buying 2 or 3 together but by buying separately you can get a feel for which ones you need & go up or down accordingly.
