I've had a couple of these and each one lasted over a year, for something that costs around a tenner you cant expect it to perform miracles or last forever.
Wall mount it, grease it and gently press the can into the crusher denting it a bit before crushing.
Don't try and crush steel cans, its only designed to crush aluminium drinks cans.

I'm sorry to say I was very dissapointed with this item. It's unlike me to be deiven to write a review. The crushers handle has been made far too flexible to be able to cope with crushing cans. If you dent the can first by hand it can just about cope, other wise the handle bends. What a shame my kids will have to back to stamping on the cans.

I was a little disappointed with this at first as the handle seemed really flimsy and got stuck in the down position first time I tried to use it and nearly bent it trying to move it back up. Then I found it worked 10x better by applying a little light grease to the up / down slider. The instructions on the box give the impression that wall mounting is optional, to be honest I wouldn't attempt to use it if it wasn't wall mounted its surprising how much force is need to crush a can. So for best results from this product wall mount it and grease the slider, that way you will get trouble free use.

wouldn't call it heavy duty :(
Great when I 1st had it. Not long had this item, the handle has come apart & the arms have all bent. Useless now!

poor lightweight

Excellent Value for money
This is the best buy I got in December, it can crush cans, saving valuable space in the recycle bin.

this item is really good it says heavy duty but doesnt feel as strong as you expect it to be but its still working ok at the moment had a fair amount of use so far
