5.0 out of 5 stars The legacy continues, 22 Feb 2009
By Degsy (Greater Manchester) - See all my reviews
I'm not going to bang on about the de-construction of the male psyche through clever, witty prose, because that's just daft. If you loved Arab Strap or Malcolm Middleton's stuff you will also love this. Less gritty than Strap, less polished than Middleton, it sits alone as a special genre, grizzled, funny, Scottish madness. There are stand out tracks but that's my own personal opinion, go and buy it and let it play a few times, it will get through to you if you open up and take it for what it is, superb music from an unlikely source.

5.0 out of 5 stars The garage on Woodlands Road, 15 Oct 2009
By Alex DeLarge (Dublin, Ireland) - See all my reviews
How to get to Heaven from Scotland doesn't have the ominous/ inauspicious vibe you get in Hypnogogia [VINYL] and I Can Hear Your Heart, instead what we hear on this record is a kind of grainy, hungover optimism.

Any record that contains the line "I'll buy you a beautiful wheelchair" and a reference to the filling station on Woodlands Road has got to be a winner. And this is.
