A lucky school library find; my children enjoyed this almost as much as I did. The simple illustrations were a perfect accompaniment to the slightly irreverent text. There are sufficient cheeky bits to keep snigger-happy children entertained, whilst the story is poignant enough to appeal to the more solemn amongst them. It would create a useful opening to allow discussion of what might happen when someone dies, whether from a religious or secular point of view. Or you could just enjoy it, as we did.
