I think this is Trisha's best album to date. Her seventeen-year career has seen such great albums such as "Thinkin' About You", "Everybody Knows", "Jasper County", and the country-pop "Where Your Road Leads" - but this one is even better.

It is, in turns, soulful, blues-influenced and, of course, country. The whole album is great, from the uptempo title track and lead single ("Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love") the power-ballad and next single, "This is Me You're Talking To", through the beautiful "(He Don't Know) Nothin' 'Bout Memphis" and the serenly haunting "The Dreaming Fields". Other favourites are the captivating ballad "Let the Wind Chase You", the gentle honky-tonk of "Cowboys Are My Weakness", the foot tapping "Nothin' About You Is Good For Me" and "They Call It Falling for a Reason" and ends with the quiet ballad "Sing You Back to Me".

If you only buy one Trisha Yearwood album, make it this one.

This is a really excellent CD from Trisha Yearwood. She has a truly amazing voice and there are some really outstanding tracks here including the upbeat title track, the beautiful ballad "This Is Me You're Talking To" and the infectious "Cowboys Are My Weakness" to name some of my personal favourites. Trisha has been around for some time and has made some truly great albums. The power and beauty of her voice show no signs of diminishing and hopefully she'll be around for a long time to come. If you love country music (and even if you don't) check out this album, you won't be disappointed.

I was so happy to see Trisha back with a new album, i love all her work, and it seems like forever since she had new material. Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love doesn't disappoint, when you have in my opinion, the best voice in country and thats a huge complement with Faith, Martina and Carrie making consistently beautiful songs, woven together with some fantastic songs wonderfully produced, the outcome is obvious. One of the things i like about Trisha Yearwoods style, is that she manages to keep each album fresh, modern, without abandoning her roots..... kinda like just restyling your home, rather than moving house completely.

I dont feel there really is a disappointing track on here, but my favorites are 'This Is Me Your're Talking To', 'They Call It Falling For a Reason'.... for its addictive driving beat and the wonderful acoustic guitar that follows it, in fact this im sure is my favorite song and would be a superb single should she decide to release it, i really hope she will. 'Let The Wind Chase You' stands out also, its trademark Trisha, i just love the way her voice sounds on this one in particular. Perhaps one of the most amazing songs on the album is 'The Dreaming Fields', however the songwriters really need some mention here, for its the words and ethics of this song that make it special every bit as much as her voice, as its about mans relentless abuse and rape of the land,.... but only Trisha could sing it in a way that doesnt make it sound corny or like a Greenpeace anthem, as some of these songs with an environmental flavour tend to sometimes. However everything marries together here to give a beautiful song with so much emotion and meaning that few could equal.

I took a chance with this album having heard a few tracks by Trisha Yearwood. This is a brilliant album and better than the previous stuff I've heard. It has some of the most beautiful love songs (country-style) that I've heard in a long time, soft and melodic but also the more upbeat sing-along ones.
Only 1/2 songs are below par but on the whole an album worth getting if you've been getting disgruntled with the bog standard pop infested country music that has been coming out recently.

Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love is an incredible album and one of Trisha's best. There's so many strong songs on it that it's hard to describe them one by one. However my favourites are the title track, They Call It Falling For a Reason, Nothin' About You Is Good For Me and Drown Me. Nobody sings about heartbreak and cheating better than Trisha and the proof of that is in this album.

Not being a country music expert, all I knew about Trisha Yearwood was she was married to Garth Brooks. But this album really shocked me. She's really good! Nice voice, great songs. I love them all, but "Let the wind chase you" (with Keith Urban) really got me. Highly recommendable.
