Format:VHS Tape
This is a brilliant film,one of the best I have seen.Many Women will be able to relate to the situation that Meryl Streep finds herself in.The combination of Nicholson and Streep in this role is magic.I do not know why this film is not up their with their best films.It is a very moveing film.The music supplied by Carly Simon in the background also deserves praise.I would love to be able to purchase this film on dvd.Very watchable,do not miss it.

Fantastic its on dvd now.I went to great lengths to purchase this film many years ago on video,now its on dvd thats great.This film should be up there with streep and Nicholsons greatest movies in my opinion.Instead this movie has been very overlooked.The story is very touching and many Women can relate to the part played by Meryl,having experianced similar situations themselves.The acting is superb.The backing songs from Carly Simon add to a great film.Do not miss this one.

Although the story is quite sad in parts the film is balanced out by a lot of humour. I found myself laughing out loud at this film a lot. It also made me cry.
This has to be one of the best films I have ever seen. I saw this film many years ago and remembered it but it took me a long while to find what the title was. All these years later I found that it was just as good as I remembered!
I feel that a lot of Hollywood movies are let down by the ending but not this one. It has a satisfying ending which I will not give away.
I don't know what more to say without giving away any of the story, so I will just say buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent. Streep and Nicholson are superb as always plus soundtrack (Carlie Simon) is amazing. One of my all time favourites. Sad, funny but true to life!!
