What are the owners of Heartbeat thinking about? If this series was released on dvd,(as countless people want it to be) they would make a fortune. It's time the whole series was released.

These episodes are truly representative of the Heartbeat TV series. They are from the first series, and they gave an accurate taste of life in 1960s North Yorkshire and village policing during that time. Nick Berry is excellent as PC Rowan, the London Copper who moved to the countryside with his Doctor wife. These episodes help cover his transition period as he gets to grips with the changes in culture and gains acceptance within the local community. There is a mix of humour, sentiment and crime action. The acting is first rate, and the stories have real depth. I highly recommend this VHS.
