This CD from the Destiny's Child beauty Michelle Williams is off the hook!
She has cleaverly mixed R&B with Gospel, to create a whole new, fresh vibe!
Some of the stand out tracks include So Glad, Sun Will shine Again, Heaven (The best track!) and I have to disagree with the review below mine, You Care For Me is one of the most inspiring songs I have heard for along time. Deffinately an album stand out.
If you are expecting an average, choir filled Gospel album then this is not the CD for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for an uplifting, soulfull CD that will lift your spirits then this is the album for you!
The only reason this CD didn't get 5 stars is because of the fact that it does contain some previously released material, but apart from that, it's da bomb!

The first solo record to be released by a Destiny's Child memeber and a very good one at that. I will not lie and say this is incredible because it isn't, but i urge you to buy Michelle's sophomore DO YOU KNOW which is one of the greatest records ever made!!! As for HEART TO YOURS, it is by no means a bad record, but more an average journey with a few excepetional cuts!

i would still reccomend you to buy this... for the following tracks:

2. Heard A Word- a soulful, blues-flavoured song, showcasing Williams' raspy, sensious vocal. FIRST SINGLE. FIRST VIDEO. 8/10

6. Change The World- at first i hated this, but listen to the lyrics... i now love this slow-jam. 7/10

8. You Care For Me- AMAZING! The best Michelle song ever! The quality vocal, the male choir, the lyrics, the intesity, the rawness... i LOVE this song. Incredible. 10/10

9. Steal Away To Jesus- duet with the legend Pastor Caesar, this is traditional gospel the way it should be. Michelle's raspness and Caesar's power! 9/10

10. Rock With Me- my second fav from this joint. after a long intro the gutairs come out for this crazy cut! Big choir for the chorus, you can't help but dance! 10/10

The rest of the CD i'm afraid to say is filler material. not bad, but not good. This was the biggest selling gospel album of 2002- and considering it's her debut, credit to miss Williams all the way!

(but make sure ya'll get DO YOU KNOW!)

a rather good debut solo effort from Michelle Williams... one third of the amazing r+b group Destiny's Child...
this will not disappoint any destiny's child fan... but will not impress music critics... especially when a few songs were previously released on DC's 'This is the Remix' album as bonus tracks... It even includes the 'Gospel Medley' from 'Survivor'... which to be fair was a really good song... & a duet with gospel legend, Shirley Caesey's that is already on her own album... ... which means that less than 8 songs are completely original... makes this CD not particularly value for money...
some non-christians might also find the lyrics too in-your-face as a mainstream release, but the songs have been written in a way that everyone from all backgrounds can relate to & leaves them with a positive outlook on whatever situation they may be in...
it also features some really great artiste like the amazing Mary Mary, Carl Thomas, Isaac Caree & Lowell Pye (men of Standard)...

OK so it's clear where the talent in Destiny's Child came from, but this isn't a bad album. Strong gospel RnB songs, good lyrics and a few foot tappers. This is a pleasant album and sounds heart felt. Good for gospel.

Here it is: the first solo effort from the Destiny's Child camp. It's never good news for the longevity of your favourite group when band members embark on solo projects and Michelle Williams is no exception: after all, she was pretty quick off the mark when Beyonce announced earlier this year that she was taking time out to star in Austin Powers 3 with Mike Myers. Michelle, in case you didn't know, joined the all-conquering girl group amid a series of line-up changes a couple of years ago. A case of last in, first out - or simply the sound of a songbird spreading her wings? Smooth, slinky and more overtly religious than DC's previous, hard-edged offerings, "Heart To Yours" is perfect for fans of US gospel-soul stars Mary Mary (who feature here on the uplifting "So Glad") and maybe Erykah Badu. The positive message remains, but with more of an evangelistic than a feminist tinge. The album's title track "Heart To Yours" is a particular stand-out here, and a stirring one at that. On the other hand, "You Care For Me", a soppy collaboration with, er, Men Of Standard, is one of the few low points.
