"....both excellent and comprehensive". - North American Board for East West Dialogue "An excellent book... for the serious student of Buddhism a better book would be hard to come across". - The Middle Way

Product Description

This stimulating book challenges our underlying assumptions about ourselves and the world around us. Only by seeing things as they really are can we become free from the inner source of unhappiness. Are things as solid and real as they appear?; Realise the truth behind appearances; Discover the dream-like nature of our world; Cultivate the wisdom that liberates the mind. By skilfully explaining the dream-like nature of all things, the relationship between our mind and our world, and the extent to which we create our own reality, the author guides us towards a deep and unshakeable happiness.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, deeply profound, 3 Mar 2005
By A Customer
This is an incredible book; profound, stimulating and inspiring to those who wish to understand the world in which they live and put that understanding to practical use. This book contains the essence of Buddhist Wisdom teachings and a beginner may need to read other Buddhist material to fully appreciate the depth and scope of this book, although not at all necessarily. The author is fully competent at presenting the subtlest Buddhist teachings in a format that is surprisingly easy to follow by western readers and I would highly recommend reading other books by him. Happy reading!

5.0 out of 5 stars no serious student of buddhism should be without this book!, 30 May 2002
By A Customer
Geshe kelsang , explains with great clarity the perfection of wisdom, the true nature of reality in this splendid commentary to one of the most loved sutra's of all time. if you are new to, or familiar with the idea of "emptiness" geshe will blow your mind when he explain why "form is empty" then he'll blow your mind again when he shows us how "emptiness is form". words can not describe the feeling when he then tells us why "form is not other than emptiness, emptiness is not other than form". a work of truly great understanding and clarity- this book is of immeasurable benefit to all beings begginers and experienced alike. A joy to read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simlpy mind-blowing, 2 Jul 2009

Warning: This book will blow you away! It's difficult to expand on what has already been wonderfully described by the other reviews, but I felt the strong need to write something at least. This is the most profound and deep book I have ever read. I couldn't sleep for at least two days after reading it. I'm still amazed that a human being worked all this stuff out within his mind.

This is hardcore Buddhism to the max!

This highly recommended book will not disappoint, but will probably change your life around for the good once grasped.

I've almost finished my second read!
