Book Description

13 Oct 2004
Brittany is proud and strong, a modern woman who is certain she will never have anyone to love her. Her relationships have been few and far between, and all her potential lovers have been intimidated by her height - she is almost six feet tall. Then one day, Dalden walks into her life. She see him across the lawn at a political rally, where he entices her with his tremendous strength and even greater height. Dalden is a stranger to the country, and begs Brittany to help him in his quest to find a criminal - a quest which will take Brittany to strange new worlds...and the depths of her own heart.

Product Description

Amazon Review

They say men are from Mars and women are from Venus, but according to perennial New York Times bestselling author Johanna Lindsey in Heart of a Warrior, men, especially huge hunks like Dalden Ly-San-Ter, are from the planet Sha-Ka'an, and women, especially strong-minded, statuesque beauties like carpenter Brittany Callaghan, are from right here on Earth! Lindsey's latest offering is out of this world--literally.

Brittany meets the first man she's ever had to look up to when she sees Dalden at a political rally... like she could avoid noticing a seven-foot tall Hercules clad in form-fitting leather pants. When he disappears without a trace, Brittany is unaccountably put out. But when Dalden just as mysteriously reappears in her apartment the next day, her already piqued interest--and libido--goes into overdrive. Brittany thinks Dalden is just visiting from another country, never guessing that his home is actually in a whole different solar system. Dalden is hunting an unscrupulous enemy who has stolen a shipment of mind-altering weapons, a situation with potentially cataclysmic results. But the virginal Brittany is a distraction Dalden didn't count on. Add a smart-mouthed computer, the burgeoning passion between the oh-so-different protagonists, and Heart of a Warrior offers a wild romp that only Lindsey could write. Fasten your seat belts and relish the ride! --Alison Trinkle, Amazon.com --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

1.0 out of 5 stars Truly Awful 18 Feb 2002
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I can't believe that this is the same author who wrote the Malory series. The book was difficult to get into with far too much superfluous detail crammed into the first part of the story, unsophisticated and self-indulgent, a real struggle to finish. I won't be buying another Sci/Fi Romance by Lindsay.

1.0 out of 5 stars ONE STAR IS TOO MUCH - AWFUL BOOK! 30 April 2002
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I should have taken more notice of the other reviews of this book before I wasted my money. It was absolutley dreadful. It could have been a great love story between a woman on Earth and Dalden - a visitor from another planet - far fetched I know but could have been good. Unfortunatley it is not good at all. All the story seems to be is a dialogue of explanations regarding Dalden and his planet given by Martha - a computer - and Brittany - the woman from earth. Dalden is hardly in the story at all!We did'nt need these explanations as this is the 3rd book in the series. The 1st is Warriors Woman (very good) and then Keeper of the Heart (also very good). I think JL must be getting a bit jaded! Save your money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely boring 22 Jun 2002
Format:Paperback
What can I say....it was terrible!! i have read most of her books and liked them but this one is so bad. By far the worst book i have ever read. The characters had no depth. She was in love with his height not the person as far as i could tell. Such a shame for the last book in a trilogy to be this bad when the other two books were amazing. But dont let this book stop u from reading other Lindsey books. The Malory series is a definite must!

This is possibly the worst book she has ever written. Extremely boring and far fetched. Save your money and don't bother buying it.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of Johanna's best, and I have read them all!!!!
This is a combination of a futuristic and modern romance (I don't think it has been tempted before). Johanna does it again, her wit got me rolling around with laughter. Read more
