Perhaps her most memorable album, "Heart Don't Lie" is nothing short of a masterpiece for La Toya Jackson. Her most successful album to date, it gave La Toya the chance to shine at the high point of her career. Every track is extremely well produced, particularly the independent woman anthem "Hot Potato", which later inspired the Destiny's Child track "Independent Women, Part I". The title track is another highlight, featuring Howard Hewett of Shalamar fame, as well as the reggae boys group Musical Youth. The album also includes a cover of Prince's "Private Joy" and musical appearances by Kool & the Gang, Marlon Jackson, Janet Jackson, and Tito Jackson. This album is the definitive showcase of La Toya's unbelievable talent.
