This review is from: The Heart Donor (Paperback)
When a terrorist group linked to al-Qaeda threaten to target London with a nuclear device, three people, with separate agendas, are thrown together in a scary countdown to a world crisis.
Jake Armstrong, investigating an art theft, wants to know who's got his wife's heart. She died after being caught up in a terrorist explosion and he agreed to her heart being donated. Becky Rackley, a British MI5 agent, received a new heart after rheumatic fever rendered her own heart useless. She meets Jake at a party and comes away believing she's the recipient of his wife's heart - as does Jake, but neither discussed it. Grigoriy Nabutov, head of the largest Russian organised crime group, plans the heist of a futurist Russian painting. It fails, and he's forced to bargain with Chechen terrorists seeking high-enriched uranium. A world catastrophe looms, London's evacuated and Jake stares death in the face.
