This has got to be one of the best guides to probably one of the most complicated novels in English Literature. I've been studying Heart of Darkness for my AS English Literature coursework, and York Notes has enormously helped with condensing the rich language into relevant, simple information as to what each 'episode' in each chapter are about. The critical analysis and the themes are fantastic, and contain a great deal of detailed information about the novella. For those who are studying Heart of Darkness at A Level, at University or just desire a great deal of knowledge to the book by Conrad, this is a must get!!!

Great book! It will help you tremendously if you need to analyse this very difficult to understand novel, Heart of Darkness. It gives you everything you need to fully analyse and understand the novel with depth. Also, gives you an idea of how a written commentary relating to the novel should look like. The format is great diving it between narrative structure, character analysis, themes.. Etc. everything you need! I highly recommend it!

This book does not contain the actual Heart of Darkness book by Joseph Conrad, i thought it did. It does however, come with helpful notes and with the notes comes the page number it is found in. But, the page numbers in the book depends with what version of the "Heart of Darkness" book you have.. Overall, HELPDUL book, especially if your class assigns Panals!
