A Must-Read! 2 Aug 2005
By Jessica.Laurie - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Heart of Courage is the fourth installment in a five book series that records the adventures of Bree O'Toole, an Irish teenager captured by Norwegian Vikings; her older brother Devin, who tries in vain to set his sister free; and Mikkel, a young Viking who is on a journey of discovery.

In a Heart of Courage, Mikkel tells Bree that if she and Devin help on his next voyage, he'll give Bree her freedom. As Bree, Devin, and Mikkel journey to Greenland, Iceland, and beyond, someone is sabotaging Mikkel's life and Bree's one chance at freedom. As Mikkel comes to terms with his faith in the one, true God and three years pass away from home, Bree and Devin wonder: Will Mikkel keep his word and give Bree her freedom?

Come ride the waves of this wonderful adventure of faith, friendship, and love. Filled with historical accuracy and heart-pumping excitement, this book will help you understand and gain a true heart of courage.
Perfect read for young adults 16 May 2012

Format:Paperback
Just reading the introduction was enough to know that I would love this book. I felt like the author was speaking to me directly. We have all gone through difficult times, and there's nothing better than having the very first paragraph grab us, the reader, as the author addresses us directly in stating how our most difficult trials serve an important purpose.

It's very refreshing to see an author write such a wholesome book. I would love to see young adults and teenagers read this kind of literature. Not only is it beautifully written and full of suspense, but at the same time it conveys such important moral values lacking in our society today. I enjoy the setting, and although many readers may not know Northern Europe and Scandinavia, it definitely transports them to beautiful fjords and landscapes unlike anywhere else in the world.

As a mother, this is definitely a book I would encourage my children to read as they grow up. I would even suggest it to their school, anything to get them occupied and away from too much TV and video games.

A wonderful tale for a child to read 27 April 2012

It is clean, christian based story that my son is most thoroughly enjoying and not having his mind polluted by the other nonsense they write for kids these days.
