The rise of Hear’Say, the winner of ITV1’s 2001 series PopStars, has been phenomenal to say the least. As Hear’Say Live documents, despite being together only nine months and having just two hit singles, the group accomplished the unthinkable--a dazzling, all-singing, all dancing, sell-out UK arena tour. Kicking off with a thrilling James-Bond-style opening sequence the group descend via ropes on to the stage. Despite being a slickly choreographed affair, the concert appears to be hindered by the audience’s general lack of familiarity with the material. This is further emphasised by the highlights of the concert being the solo, cover performances given by each band member--"Chains" (Mylene); "I Found Lovin'" (Danny); "How Do I Live" (Kym); "Never Too Much" (Noel) and Suzanne’s excellent version of Madonna’s "Express Yourself". Although their second album Everybody was released just two months after the featured live concert, the show fails to include any material from this release.
On the DVD: the extras on this release are truly excellent value, with individual video diaries from each member of the group and a comprehensive photo gallery. As well as the quality concert footage (presented in 16:9 anamorphic picture format), the "behind the scenes" documentary provides a fascinating overview of the preparations and rehearsals for the tour, as well as highlighting the band’s apparent insecurity about their continued future success. There’s also an interactive quiz--answer three questions correctly about a chosen member of the group and you’re shown exclusive footage of the individual performing live. The menus are attractive, extremely easy to use and each section is orally introduced by the band. --John Galilee

hearsay live is the best live video out at the moment with top quality sound and video quality. Anybody into pop music of this type should buy this video now. A perfect gift for anybody with good quality music taste.

If you like hearsay well then Im sure you will like this video.It has interviews with the band and it takes a look at what the band get up to in their 'spare' time. It also has the making of pure & simple.Im not going to say anymore youll have to watch the vid/Bye"!Q!!!

any fan of hear'say or pop music cannot aford to b without this video i was lucky enough to be at this very concert when it was filmed the show was amazing the singing and the dancing blew me away with a great mixture upbeat and ballads this is a great video for a night in, i have purchased it to try and spot myself in the audience. if u where there buy to to relive the closing night of the popstars tour if your didnt make it any of the concerts get it now so you dont miss out.
