I bought 3 pairs of these for my mates and I for our holiday to Ibiza this summer. We've been loads of times before and the one thing we were getting fed up of was the damage we were causing to our hearing after we had been partying it up.
The reason why I really like these:
1. They hardly stick out of your ears.
Earplugs like Alpine's or Elacin ER-20's clearly do a better job of retaining the sound quality you hear while filtering out the damaging frequencies however when you're in a club the last thing you want is someone to accidentally bump into you and push the earplugs into your eardrums! These Hearos earplugs hardly stick out, the only bit that does a little bit is very soft and rubbery and didn't cause any problems when I was in the middle of a busy dance floor. They felt very comfortable and snug.
2. The sound.
You could still hear the music clearly. There obviously was some attenuation of the music but it certainly didn't spoil it for me and I am usually very fussy about the quality at which I can hear tunes. For me it made the whole night more enjoyable because I didn't spend any of the night worrying about damaging my hearing. Not only that, but I could hold conversations with my friends and we could hear each other fine.
2. The price.
For a week in Ibiza, a festival, a concert or party of any kind where you will be exposed to loud music, these are a great price. They do the job perfectly. I kept them in the little case that comes with so I wouldn't lose them but even if I had lost them, at the price, doesn't matter!
Overall, perfect earplug for quick and cheap hearing protection, especially if you're gonna be amongst a party crowd!
