Excellent Ballad Singing 11 Dec 2009

Josef Locke, in performance, was really before my time, or was around when I was a young child. I was inspired to purchase this CD after watching the also excellent, clever,very funny and heartwarming film "Hear My Song" which was inspired by aspects of his life.
I love it and don't seem able to either stop listening to it, or singing the songs in my head.
The tracks have been re-mastered and the sound is good.
Mostly however, it is the quality of the singing and performance that just drags one in and won't let go.
This sort of light classical tenor reportoire is rarely heard these days.
Joe Locke was a master at it.

Suffering from the after efects of the worst 15 years of so called musical expression this world has ever heard, it is simply wonderful to enjoy really great music - songs sung in key and words that not only tell a story but make sense. Josef Locke is a treasure.
I love good music.
