I bought this book only based on the review posted and was just looking for a simple book to flip thru for quick information but this book sorta agrivated me when I had searched vegan books and was given this... the book does include fish, chicken, red meat, even milk products... In a way i don't know if i trust the information it has for the other foods even though i do know that most of the vegs and fruits are healthy and very beneficial... i wish there was more information on it not being vegan and should not have a tag line of vegan in my opinion. but i do enjoy the quick reads for passing time. readable

There is a lot of nutritional information and mis-information that you might try to wade through if you are trying to heal yourself through nutrition. Allison Tyler has cut to the chase for you: and provided you with a simple guide to choosing the most important foods to eat for health, and why. I enjoyed the concise but complete approach: I know that people are being healed by diet and I am interested.

I do not understand the comment about veganism - I don't see where she is selling this as a vegan book.

This is a great book because it offers everything I needed to know about the foods without having to wade through the unnecessary filler that I find in many books like this. It's an easy read for anyone and the information in it is certainly eye opening as to what the individual foods can offer as health benefits. I will certainly be making changes to my diet after reading this. Well worth having in your library if you want to improve your health.
