Book Description

A collection of simple but tasty recipes from Robin Ellis based on the Mediterranean way of cooking.

From the Back Cover

Easy-to-cook recipes for a healthier life

Eating healthily doesn't mean eating tastelessly - or having to follow a strict diet. Robin Ellis shows how, by simply choosing a Mediterranean approach to cooking, you can enjoy delicious food that is good for you.

Diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, Robin was able to manage his condition for over six years without medication by following this eating style. Studies have also shown that a Mediterranean diet helps to maintain a healthy heart and to reduce the risk of dying from cancer.

· Simple recipes that all the family can enjoy

· Make cooking an integral part of your life and take control of what you eat

· Feel long-term benefits, rejecting short-term diets

· Discover a balanced way of eating, avoiding extremes

Robin Ellis is known worldwide for his role as Ross Poldark in the classic BBC serial. He learned to cook from his mother who suffered from Type 1 diabetes. He lives in south-western France.

Although the wonderful veggie recipes - made from French market produce - aren't perhaps as alluring on a rainy UK day, they are so attractive. Robin Ellis is refreshingly honest in his partial attribution of many to other cookery writers. His style is warm, sensible and tempting, to diabetics and all of us looking to eat lighter, healthier food.
