Senna is the world's most widely used herbal laxative. Senna Pods contain substances called Anthraquinone Glycosides, which are absorbed, from the intestinal tract and the active Anthraquinones excreted into the colon where they exert their stimulant effect. The Senna plant is native to tropical Africa and cultivated in Egypt.It´s active ingredients, sennosides are found in its leaves and its seed pods.

Senna tablets 26 July 2011
i tried these as a cheaper alternative to Senekot....whilst they were good they weren't quiet as good as senekot but seeing the price difference, i'll definately be using them again.
