Having previously read Pandora's Clock and enjoyed it, I was looking forward to this book too. The plot, unfortunately, gets bogged down in the legalese of the situation making it slow and torpid, and the story remains static as a result. The another annoying thing is the ex-RAF co-pilot's use of stilted English - with enough "what ohs", you would think that J Nance had read one too many Biggles adventure stories: I expected him to be sitting there with a curly tash, smoking a pipe and saying "chocs away!". Avoid this and read something else.
