3.0 out of 5 stars Consistently Good, 20 April 2003

Paul's latest work follows on well from his previous works. Generally in this sort of genre there is a tendency towards "potboilers", but this is not so far evident with Kilduff.
The story develops well, and as someone who lives and works in London, there are little things that add a sense of realism, little touches, for example around his apartment, that give you the feeling that "maybe this story is really happening, after all... London's a big place".
The serial killer himself is the weakest part of the book, but doesn't detract from overall enjoyment.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 8 April 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Headhunter (Paperback)
Oh dear, oh dear..........cardboard characters and wafer-thin plot. Surely just dropping names of products doesn't make a story? I read one of Mr Kilduff's previous offerings, which was considerably better than this attempt.
If you want a thriller that really looks at dastardly deeds in the City and finance, try "Tarnished Copper", by Geoffrey Sambrook.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting characters, each with an interesting story, 18 Jun 2005

What is so likeable about this thriller is the way the characters each have a gameplan which involve high stakes as you would expect in the world of finace, testing their nerves to the limits, which helps build tension as the story unfolds.
