as a complete novice at all thing car related I found this book really usefull - I bought it because the car window motor had stopped working and following the clear instructions and pictures I was able to replace it with one I got from ebay, saving me about £210, with the added bonus of feeling really pleased with my self. The chapters on routine care and maintenance are great too - who knew it was so easy to do an oil change? Even if I have to take the car in to the garage to get a problem fixed I find it helps to know a little bit about what I am talking about! I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to keep there car in top condition on a budget.

If you like to tinker or just need to know how to save yourself thousands of pounds maintaining your 8 year old Cooper S - this is an absolute must have
