Hayley Long was born in 1971 in Ipswich, Suffolk. At 18, she moved to Wales to study English at Aberystwyth University and has been backwards and forwards to Wales ever since. In 1997, she became an English teacher, teaching first in London, then Cardiff and now Norfolk. She has written several books and teaching resources and is the author of the popular 'Lottie Biggs' series, published by Pan Macmillan. Her next book, 'What's up with Jody Barton?' is out in June 2012.
