Product Description

Product Description

There are some deep, profound, life-defining questions we may all have pondered at some time. Is there only one way to live? Will anyone mind if I don't resist temptation? If I find someone attractive, is it OK to steal a mobile phone to get their attention? Is there anything in life worth sacrificing everything for? At what point on a first date is it acceptable to start planning the wedding? What is grace and should I get some? Do I Have To Be Good All The Time? attempts to make sense of these tricky topics and more. Vicky Walker explores life, love, pride, control, romance, relationships and why it probably isn't a good idea to start a fight with man with 'Cut Here' tattooed around his neck. This book cunningly provides the perfect opportunity to sit back and laugh at someone else's mistakes while pretending to contemplate life's big questions.

About the Author

VICKY WALKER has had a varied and quite interesting life. She s had a few jobs - in fashion PR, retail, design, events management, charity and even answered a few 999 calls. She somehow found a way to travel the world as a trend spotter, navigating cocktails in New York, civil unrest in Jakarta, mad dogs in Istanbul, unnerving spa treatments in India, suspicious local delicacies in China and the occasional outbreak of shopping. She s had a few friends people who laugh at her and with her, and provide their own stories of life, love, grace and silliness. She s had a few dates maybe the less said about those the better. She s had a few adventures awkward moments and the occasional question about the meaning of life. She seems to find herself in odd situations more often than she probably should, and hopes writing them down might be therapeutic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Confession is good for the soul 6 May 2012
By Gazza
Format:Paperback
Vicky has shared her thoughts and feelings and captured the inner conflict we all recognise when God the Holy Spirit is given the driving seat in our lifes!

We tend to squabble with 'the driver' but only he knows where we are going and how to get there without a car crash!

We are convinced our Sat Nav, or is it nag, is right but then sometimes we listen ............. Hard work being a Christian

A pleasant easy little read , whens the next one Vicky?

Format:Paperback
This book was a great read with plenty of laughs. It may also give you something to think about, but even if it doesn't, it's a fun way to spend a few evenings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshing, funny, honest 15 Jan 2013
Format:Paperback
Not only genuinely funny - it had me laughing out loud on the train - but also startling honest, insightful and intelligent. Vicky Walker cuts through the nonsense and tells it like it is. If only we in the church were all so honest about how we sometimes feel.
