It's a great guide, although it could do with a timeline (e.g. You have to have your puppy socialized by four months, because hereafter it will be scared of new things) and it's tip to getting your Havanese used to being groomed (hold it down until it relaxes while grooming it) seems a bit harsh to me. Its only other flaw, is that it's too short.
Other than that, I would definitely recommend it to new owners. It tells you everything you need to know and do to care for your dog that the breeder might neglect to mention.

I bought this book based on previous reviews. Unfortunately most of the information within the book is quite generic and can be used for most dog breeds. I think I found more information on this breed on the internet than in this book. Definitely wouldn't recommend it.
