More About the Author

I was born in St.Albans, Hertfordshire and from an early age my two main passions were writing and ghosts. My first published book was a collaboration with respected author Nicholas Connell entitled Haunted Hertfordshire. We collected every known ghost story from the county of Herts and put them together in this definitive ghost gazetteer. My other passion is comedy and teaming up with Elizabeth Blackwood, whom I met on a university writing course, (and who shares my humorous way of looking at the world); we have created Kindle edition How to Manage Your Affairs...and get away with it - a parody of the business plan but with real scenarios (gathered from anonymous sources!) that show nothing in life is ever black and white.

Elizabeth and I are working on our next comedy novel and in the meantime I expect my latest solo ghost book Haunted Hertford (a History Press serialisation) to be published in October.

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful By Psi-Chaotic on 21 Jan. 2011
Format: Paperback
This book is an updated version of a previous book with a new cover. The edition adds 34 new haunted sites without taking away any that had been included in the previous edition. This is a very good book which is well worth reading as it is very well researched and the information is accurate, fascinating and easy to read. This book is far and above the most comprehensive guide to the ghosts of Hertfordshire detailing over 400 sites. The text is very concise and readable and a list is provided of the sources of the information. There are also a number of black and white photographs of some of the sites.
