For me this is a return to what made the band stand out from others. Wonder What's Next was a great album and not that the other since have been bad, but they just haven't been great.

I love every single one of their albums and this is something different yet similar again. Those who know Chevelle will be used to the aggression and addictive riffs mixed with rocking drums and bass. Pete usually uses a 50/50 mix of roaring growls/screams and well-pitched melody but in this album he barely screams or shouts and yet it still feels just as aggressive, but in a more controlled way where the songs always simmer and spit but never lose control. This is a real progression for me and the riffs sound better than ever, the bass heavier, the vocals more beautiful and yet more aggressive and the drums perfect and fist-pumpingly awesome as usual. Buy it! Buy all the others too! No two albums are the same but all sound like Chevelle

Aaaah man, this is really an awesome album. Nothing really new or different from the usual Chevelle recipe. I have all their albums, and although I enjoyed Sci-Fi Crimes, I really think this new album is better. This is not as heavy as some of their older stuff, but the songs are really well written, emotional en just the way Chevelle fans would like them to be.
So far my favorites are Track 3 and 4.
