Fantastic as a reference guide, especially for the novice.For each pose there is a gentle variation which is most helpful for the less accomplished of us. The section on Hatha Yoga Routines and the Asana indexes are excellent references when creating your own home practice and when learning the Sanskrit names of poses. i highly recommend this book as an excellent buy.

I actually bought this book several years ago and misplaced my copy. I enjoyed it so much, I decided to buy it again. It's not a book you'll sit down and read cover to cover, but it is invaluable as a reference guide. It gives excellent information on how to modify postures with props and which postures to avoid for different ailments/conditions. I found it incredibly useful during both of my pregnancies. I'd give this as a gift to any yogi in your life!
