Product Description

Marybeth (Danielle Harris, Halloween I & II) escapes from Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder, Friday the 13th) and manages to make it back to civilization, where she once again encounters voodoo shop proprietor Reverend Zombie (Tony Todd, Candyman), who had helped to arrange Marybeth and company s earlier, ill-fated tour of the area. To help Marybeth and also serve his own secret agenda, Reverend Zombie recruits a hardened pack of hunters to head back into the swamp to seek revenge on Victor Crowley.

5.0 out of 5 stars "..TOP SPLATTER GOREFEST.." 6 May 2012
Format:Blu-ray
This is a brilliant sequel to one of the coolest horrors in the last ten years, Hatchet 2 is more brutal, more bloody and more intense than the first and has a great story too with more insight into the Crowley family, This movie starts off right from where the original left off with Danielle Harris taking over as the lead actress, she is great and does a good job! If your a fan or just have an interest in oldskool splatter gore than this is a must see at any cost!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best slashers ever. 18 Oct 2012
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
When i first sat down to watch Hatchet 1, i was expecting comedy, gore, lots of gore and pure mayhem and i got it and i loved it. Hatchet 1 is amazing but Hatchet 2 is even better.
Hatchet 2 picks of where Hatchet 1 ended, this film dwells into the back story of Victor Crowley (the killer) and also sees the main character head of back into the swamp with some rednecks and a crazy witch doctor. This film's kills are even more creative and cooler, the characters were even more hilarious then the ones in the previous entry. Overall this film is AWESOME and highly recommend you to watch it, with some mates or just by yourself, its just pure entertainment but warning not for faint of heart.

Hatchet 2 is a franchise genre movie so if you're expecting pathos, emotional depth or cutting edge psychological horror then you will be disappointed. However, if you want a splatter-comedic swamp horror party movie with a cast of well loved genre faces then welcome to the bayou, prepare for voodoo splatter and watch out when the hatchet falls.

Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th), Tony Todd (Candyman) and Danielle Harris (The Halloween movies) star in an enthusiastically gruesome movie from horror director Adam Green (Frozen) a man with a nicely honest approach to scary movies. His obvious love for the genre is apparent on screen and while you shouldn't expect originality that isn't why we watch these films is it? No, we're here for guts, gore and body count and Hatchet 2 delivers this, alongside Todd essaying another creepy, sinister misfit, Hodder as the mutated stalking killer and Danielle Harris offering a textbook scream queen / final girl performance.

Hatchet 2 is a fine genre movie and recommended to strong-stomached popcorn movie fans everywhere.

Tony Todd rules! Superior slasher, with what my girlfriend and I consider thee best 'Slasher Death' ever (it's hilarious, my mate had to leave), and we've seen alot. Good indeed.
