More About the Author

Tony Mitton is a highly-respected poet, and has written many titles for children, including the picture books illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees: Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaurumpus!, Down by the Cool of the Pool, Spookyrumpus (winner of the Sheffield Book Prize, the Dundee Book Award and the Portsmouth Book Award) and Come to Tea on Planet Zum-Zee, as well as a poetry rap series, which includes Big Bad Raps for Orchard. Tony also won the Smarties Prize. He spends his time writing, giving poetry performances and visiting primary schools. Tony lives in Cambridge.

Product Description

"Accessibility is the hallmark of Mitton's poems and this collection with Sue Heap's lively line drawings will attract readers who might not pick up more sober looking volumes." Books for Keeps "There is a lightness of touch in his use of natural language, and the lilt and simpicity of his rythms demand to be read out aloud." Carousel "This book is a bargin at GBP3.99. It is strongly recommended for the Early Years Programme in Primary Schools, and also just for the sheer joy of reading poems out loud." -- Wendy Axford The School Librarian

Book Description

A hilarious collection of Tony Mitton's most celebrated performance poems, including action rhymes and riddles.

A great book which was bought as a gift and was very well received by the intended audience. To say "over the moon" is an understatement.
